DRX 9000 Spinal Decompression

DRX 9000 is a non-surgical treatment method applied for the patients suffering from low back – neck pains.

DRX-9000 device was developed upon the observation during NASA space researches that low back pains of astronauts had recovered in a zero gravity environment of space and their disk distances had expanded.

MECHANISM OF ACTION OF DRX 9000

In-disk pressure can be reduced to -150 milibar thanks to the DRX-9000 system.

Reduction of in-disk pressure not only ensures withdrawal in hernia but also decreases or completely eliminates the pressure on peripheral nerves. Thus, displaced disk can be fitted properly.

Disk feeding is possible through internal pressure variations. Negative pressure ensures re-feeding for the disks just like pore fill-ups upon the elimination of weight on a sponge.

• Spinal and cervical disk hernias
• Numbing, tingling and weakness on arms (cervical radiculopathy)

WHICH PATIENTS CANNOT BE TREATED WITH DRX 9000?

Pregnant women and the patients with lumbar spinal fractures, severe osteoporosis, sequestrum (penetration of particles to the ependymal canal), spinal disk hernia, spondylolisthesis cannot be treated with this method.

HOW IS DRX-9000 TREATMENT APPLIED, IS IT PAINFUL?

The patient does not suffer from any aches and pains during the treatment. The treatment starts with physiotherapy and then the patient is equipped with suitable belts at a standing position and the patient steps on the platform on the device base. S/he is weighted and a weight-based treatment is determined. Afterwards, the patient shifts to a horizontal position from vertical position. Cold packages and appropriate electrotherapy methods are applied following the application of DRX-9000 which lasts 30 minutes. Total treatment period varies between 1- 1.5 hours depending on patient program.

IS DRX 9000 TREATMENT SUCCESSFUL?

The success rate of DRX-9000 treatment is 86% in the post-treatment period. 3 months later, this rate reaches to 90% – 96%.

WHEN DOES THE PATIENT RECOVER IN DRX 9000 TREATMENT?

We expect 50% and higher reduction in pains during the examination made at the 10th stage of the treatment. When sufficient recovery is observed, the exercises intended for strengthening lumbar and core muscles and enhancing flexibility are started.

IS ONLY DRX-9000 APPLIED IN THE TREATMENT?

Combined treatments must necessarily be applied in the pre-treatment and post-treatment period involving the use of DRX 9000 Spinal Decompression device depending on patient diagnosis. First of all, it is required to relax the bonds and muscles bound to the spine in order to expand the spine gap and ensure soft tissue recoveries for peripheral soft tissues. This is achieved with the use of various electrotherapy methods and manual applications.

DRX-9000 device is not the only source in the DRX 9000 treatment. A single stage is completed with the cycle of pre-treatment physiotherapy, DRX-9000 application and physiotherapy. Single application of DRX 9000 may give harm to the patient.
